It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you our dear advocates of children’s health to this momentous scientific event, our first ever face-to-face meeting after the pandemic, the 61st Annual Convention of the Philippine Pediatric Society at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila.

This Annual Convention stands as a dedicated platform for the continuous advancement of the Philippine Pediatric Society and our esteemed membership body as well as our valued medical professionals in various fields.

With the theme, “The Pediatric Kaleidoscope: Innovations and Progress in Child Healthcare,” we embark on celebrating the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of Pediatric Medicine.

The Kaleidoscope, a symbol of colorful diversity, innovation, and dramatic changes serves as our inspiration.  Each intricate piece within this masterfully crafted mosaic represents multi-faceted care, innovation and advancement in pediatric care. These elements weave an exquisite tapestry of nurturing, healing and caring for children, guided by our gentle hands that move the kaleidoscope with each stroke.

I would like to thank the officers and members of the Philippine Pediatric Society for entrusting this scientific event to the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Santo Tomas Hospital as the host institution to lead the dynamic teams of the Organizing Committee ably headed by Dr. Edwin V. Rodriguez. We are deeply grateful to all the members for their dedication and tireless effort for coming out with a great scientific program and activities for this convention.

As we gather together for this unique event, let us seize the opportunity to not only engage in a rich learning experience but also to bond, celebrate fellowship, renew camaraderie and unite with friends.

Again, welcome to the 61st PPS Annual Convention where inspiration, collaboration and the spirit of innovation eagerly await!
